Introduction
Delhivery is one of India's leading logistics and supply chain services companies. This guide will walk you through obtaining your Delhivery API key and connecting it with Returndotai Returns for automated return label generation.
Access this feature
Navigate to /settings/logistic in your application.
Step 1: Obtain Your API Key
Navigate to API Setup
Navigate to Main Menu > Settings > API Setup page.

View and Copy Existing API Token
Users can view and copy the existing API Token from the API Setup page.

Request Live API Token
Users can also click on "Request Live API Token" that refreshes the old token with a new token.
- 1Click on "Request Live API Token" button
- 2Confirm that you want to generate a new token
- 3Once you generate a new Token, your old token will stop working immediately

IMPORTANT: Token Security and Visibility
Important security information about your API token:
- Once you generate your token, it will be visible for 5 minutes and then will be hidden from view
- To protect your data, you'll only be able to reveal your API token once
- Copy and save your API token in a secure place immediately after generation

Step 2: Connecting Your Account
Connect Delhivery to Returndotai
Once you have your API Key:
- 1Log in to your Returndotai Returns dashboard
- 2Navigate to the "Settings" section > "Logistics" tab
- 3Look for the Delhivery integration option and click "Connect" or "Set up"
- 4You'll be prompted to enter your API Key. Paste the key you received into this field
- 5Click "Connect" to establish the connection

Step 3: Configure Settings
Configure Package Settings
After connecting:
- 1Set your default package sizes and types
- 2Make sure method "Ship with pre-paid label" is enabled

Step 4: Test the Connection
Create Test Return Request
Before going live:
- 1Create a test return request on return page
- 2Choose "Ship pre-paid label" for return method
- 3Note: This method is only displayed on return page if you enable it in the app as mentioned in Step 3

Submit and Verify Label
- 1Submit the test return request
- 2Go into the app, open this request at "Return management" tab
- 3Click to approve the request
- 4Select the appropriate shipping carrier if prompted
- 5Verify that the label is created correctly and contains accurate information
- 6Check that all shipment details match your expectations

Important Notes
Save Token Immediately
API tokens are only visible for 5 minutes after generation and can only be revealed once. Copy and save your token in a secure place immediately!
Old Token Stops Working
When you generate a new API token, your old token will stop working immediately. Update your integration right away to avoid service disruption.
Test APIs in Developer Portal
Before going live, test your integration using the Delhivery One Developer Portal at https://ucp.delhivery.com/developer-portal/v1/execute
Enable Pre-Paid Labels
Remember to enable "Ship with pre-paid label" in your settings, or customers won't see this option on the return page.
Secure Token Storage
Store your API token securely. Never share it publicly or commit it to version control systems.
Test Before Going Live
Always create a test return request and verify that labels are generated correctly before enabling the integration for customers.
